PETROZAVODSK /Correspondent of SPB-TASS Sergey Kulikayev/. Midnight Sun of Karelia-2009 International Art Festival to be held in Petrozavodsk from May 11 to June 16 will start with performance of Vladimir Spivakov's Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.
As the SPB-TASS correspondent was told in the Ministry of Culture of Karelia, except for that symphonic orchestra of Glinka State Academic Capella conducted by Alexander Chernushenko will take part in the festival. Symphonic orchestra of the Karelian State Philarmonic Society conducted by the People's Artist of the USSR Saulus Sondetskis will play the Symphony N14 of Dmitry Shostakovitch. The spectators will enjoy performances of soloists of Bolshoi Theatre Makvala Kasrashvili and Vladimir Matorin, professor of Higher Music School of Wien violinist Dora Schwarzberg, violoncellist from Argentina Jorge Bosso, and Portuguese singer Lura.
Karelian State Philarmonic Society has festival concert subscriptions and tickets on offer.
