The Government of the Republic of Karelia continues drawing up laws and regulations for providing operation of territories of outrunning socioeconomic
development in Karelia.
On August 26 Alexander Khudilaynen, the Head of the Republic of Karelia, signed the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia, in accordance with
which the regional Ministry of Economic Development and Industry is authorized to cooperate with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia in keeping
the register of residents of territories of outrunning socioeconomic development and signing agreements on their activities. The Ministry of Economy of
Karelia also prepared a draft Order on approval of the order of entering agreements on activities on territories of outrunning socioeconomic development
with legal entities being commercial organizations.
At the same time with working on the common legislative and regulatory framework in the Republic, the setting up procedure as to the territory of outrunning
socioeconomic development in Nadvoitsy urban settlement was continued. The Karelian application was approved in the beginning of the year by the Federal
Governmental Commission for the issues of setting up and operation of territories of outrunning socioeconomic development with participation of the Monotown
Development Fund. Before that the Nadvoitsy managerial team was trained according to a special program in Moscow school "Skolkovo" and defended the project
for the further development of the town of Nadvoitsy. At the moment the draft decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on setting up a territory
of outrunning socioeconomic development in a Karelian monotown is in the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. Its final approval is expected in
the middle of September.
We remind you that it is planned to include such kinds of economic development in the territory of outrunning socioeconomic development in Nadvoitsy as
manufacture of textile articles, manufacture of finished metal products except machinery and equipment, and other nonmetal mineral products.
Setting up the territory of outrunning socioeconomic development of Nadvoitsy will allow increasing investment attractiveness of the monotown and creating
more than 400 new jobs. Besides federal support measures, in June the deputies of the Nadvoitsy Town Council decided to establish a zero rate for
the land tax for residents of the territory for the first five years from the moment of inclusion in the registry of residents.
