On September 19 the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on setting up the territory of
outrunning socioeconomic development of Nadvoitsy.
The Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilaynen commented the results of the joint work of all authority levels for giving Nadvoitsy the special status as follows:
"Setting up the territory of outrunning socioeconomic development in Nadvoitsy urban settlement is a significant event for all Karelia. This is the first
area in the Republic to be granted tax privileges and reduction of contributions to state extra-budgetary funds 4.5 times, which will undoubtedly provide
comfortable environment for attraction of investors here, with the help of whom it is planned to create more than 400 new jobs. Besides, providing the
special status will help to improve the economic situation in the monotown, will help to diversify its economy".
The key activities determined for the territory of outrunning socioeconomic development are manufacture of textile articles, manufacture of finished metal
products except machinery and equipment, and other nonmetal mineral products as well as provision of locations for temporary residence and providing food and beverages.
We remind you that the Government of the Republic did a lot to draw up laws and regulations to provide operation of Karelian areas with special status at the federal level.
A law was passed in the Republic providing reduced profit tax and property tax rates for organizations-residents of territories of outrunning socioeconomic development.
They signed the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia, in accordance with which the regional Ministry of Economic Development and Industry is authorized
to cooperate with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia in keeping the register of residents of territories of outrunning socioeconomic development and signing
agreements on activities on these territories.
The decision of the Council of Deputies of Nadvoitsy urban settlement established a zero rate for the land tax for residents of the territory of outrunning socioeconomic
development for the first five years from the moment of inclusion in the registry of residents.
