of work to be done, taking into consideration the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Republic.
"The plans, which will soon be adjusted, first of all, should be focused on the development of Karelia taking into account the feedback of the residents," the plenipotentiary
Nikolay Tsukanov thanked Alexander Khudilainen personally and on behalf of the President of Russia for his work as the Head of the Republic, and emphasized that during his service
the region achieved considerable success.
Artur Parfenchikov, the Acting Head of Karelia, said that it is a great honor for him to come back to his small homeland and work for its benefit.
"I will apply all my strength and experience, all the knowledge that I have received while working at the federal level in order to fulfill the tasks set by the President and to
justify the confidence of the residents of Karelia," Artur Parfenchikov said.
According to him, now the main task is to keep the positive trends that have been achieved in the region in recent years. At the same time, as the Acting Head of Karelia noted,
together with the Government of Russia and the Plenipotentiary it is necessary "to find new points of development and optimization of economic and social processes in the
Republic." The ultimate goal of this work should be justifying the confidence of residents.
"We count on your support, as well as the support of the Presidential Plenipotentiary. But most importantly, and I said it to the President, we must count on our own forces,
work with complete dedication, and only then we have the right to expect a positive result," Artur Parfenchikov said.
The Acting Head of the Republic noted that he will aim to preserve the human resources of the Government of Karelia, but he does not exclude some gradual changes.
The former Head of the Republic, Alexander Khudilainen, thanked the leaders of all levels of Government for the joint work that allowed for the achievement of the
significant results in all key areas of the development of the Republic.
"Thanks for working together. It was very difficult, but we worked as a team with a consolidated effort to make life in Karelia better," Alexander Khudilainen noted.
