Chinese news channel CCTV broadcast a film about the construction of Beloporozhsky hydropower stations in Karelia to an international audience
On the eve of the BRICS summit, which was held in China in early September, the central television channels showed a series of programs about Karelia. The journalists
spoke about the cooperation between the two countries and the largest joint project in the field of green energy.
Today, China is the world leader in the development of renewable energy sources. According to forecasts, by 2020, the capacity of solar power plants in the country will
exceed 100 mln kW, and the capacity of wind turbines will reach 200 mln kW.
The works of Chinese journalists show that the development of the clean-energy industry in Russia is just beginning, but investors note great potential in this direction.
Thanks to its green characteristics, the project of the Beloporozhsky hydropower stations in Karelia received an unprecedented financial credit history - support from
international funds with a large amount of investments.
The film also informs that the next joint project of Russia and China in the field of clean renewable energy could be the construction of a wind farm. The Republic of
Karelia is holding these negotiations with the Fujian Development Corporation.
