Karelia is preparing to participate in the International exhibition and forum "Russia EXPO"
From November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024, the exhibition will become the main venue for demonstrating the most important achievements of the country regions.
In 2023, the main exhibition of the country turns 84 years old. The VDNH is a hallmark of Moscow, a large-scale multifunctional space which has no analogues in the world. Here, on the territory of 325 hectares, there are historical pavilions, modern museum and exhibition spaces, green areas and landscape art objects.
Since its opening in 1939, the exhibition has been a showcase for the country cutting-edge achievements. This tradition continues to this day. On March 29, the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin "On the Organizing Committee for Preparation and Holding of the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" was issued, where he instructed to hold the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" at the VDNH.
From November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024, the exhibition will become the main venue for demonstrating the most important achievements of different regions of the country in the fields of economics, industry, energy, agriculture, transport, science, and culture. The participants of the International exhibition and forum "Russia" will be the federal executive authorities, major corporations, public organizations, and foreign countries.
All subjects of Russia are getting ready to participate in the exhibition. The Republic of Karelia isn’t an exception. The exposition of the republic will tell visitors about the traditions, history and culture of the region, present the tourist, scientific and industrial potential, introduce the most striking projects implemented in the republic in recent years. Within the framework of the exhibition, a whole range of interactive events will be held: master classes, quizzes, quests. They will be held indoors as well as outdoors. Thus, a life-size model of a Karelian house will be installed next to the pavilion. A half of it will be made in the traditional Karelian style, the other half will be made of modern materials.
