The industrial production index increased in Karelia
Rosstat published the data following the results of 2023. The regional industry is recovering as well as beginning to show growth.
Rosstat published the index of industrial production in Karelia based on the results of 2023. It was 100.7%. The industry in the republic is being restored thanks to the common efforts of the region. They are support measures from the Government of the republic, joint work of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Karelia and local enterprises. It indicates that the republic is gaining stability and prospects for future development.
The growth of production in industry and other sectors helps create new jobs and increase the incomes of the residents. It also affects the level of social protection and accessibility of services for the population. The improving economic situation in the region provides additional opportunities for development of education, healthcare and the infrastructure, which helps improve the quality of life of the citizens.

The growth rates were noted in such types of economic activities as mining of metal ores - 101.9%, production of finished metal products - 104.6%, production of chemicals and chemical products - 108.5%, production of machinery and equipment - 163.7%, compared to 2022.
