Fishing enterprises of the Republic of Karelia are exporting to China

In August, two fishing companies of the Republic of Karelia, the OOO “Rybotorgovaya Set” and the OOO “Gruppa “Barents”, received a permission to export fish to China.

The enterprises will be able to directly export frozen cod and haddock, as well as frozen fillets of these types of fish, to China, bypassing the transhipment and re-registration of fish in Europe.

In order to increase the volume of direct supplies of fish products to China, the enterprises took part in the largest international seafood and fisheries exhibition in Asia in Qingdao in 2023. The plans include entering the Brazilian market.

According to the results of 2023, fishing companies of Karelia exported fish products in a total volume of 6 million US dollars.
