With the Government support, “Karelskaya Granitnaya Kompania” is building a new workshop
The progress of work was checked by the Head of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov.
The workshop will produce paving stones. The equipment has already been ordered and is ready, and the production areas are being reconstructed. In 2024, the enterprise was provided with guarantees and sureties from the Republican Fund for Assistance to Lending in the amount of 13.5 million rubles.
The company also plans to develop its own black granite deposit and conduct further exploration of colored stone in the Loukhsky district.
Artur Parfenchikov noted that the enterprise uses domestic sawing machines produced by the company “Proekt” from Kondopoga.
- It is important that the enterprise with a full production cycle has successfully established itself in the conditions of import substitution and uses domestic equipment in its work. The company products are well known on the market. The products made of Karelian gabbrodiabase are in great demand in Moscow, in other regions of Russia, in Belarus, - said Artur Parfenchikov. - We need to develop further, work on targeted training of personnel, continue inviting students from specialized colleges for practical training. Now replenishing the team with labor force is one of the main tasks.
Let us recall that “Karelskaya Granitnaya Kompania” is one of the largest and most technologically advanced factories in Karelia for granite and gabbro-diabase items production. The company also manufactures products from garnet amphibolite. The plant is one of the leading stone processing enterprises, manufacturing products from the granite deposits in Karelia, the Urals and the Leningrad Region. The geography of deliveries includes almost all federal districts of Russia, the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, and the Republic of Belarus.
Let us add that the enterprise receives support measures from the Government of Karelia. In 2023, with the assistance of the center “Moi Biznes”, the company received the trademark “Sdelano v Karelii”. In 2022, guarantees and sureties were provided in the amount of 7 million rubles.
In the same year, the Ministry of Economic Development provided a subsidy to reimburse part of the costs of industrial enterprises associated with new equipment acquisition in the amount of more than 2.8 million rubles.
