Production lines of the future digital shipyard are being installed at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant
The Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Maritime Collegium of Russia Nikolai Patrushev, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District Alexandr Gutsan and the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov assessed the current work progress at the facility.
The technological equipment installation at the Onego Shipyard is being carried out in parallel with construction and installation work. A sheet metal thermal cutting machine is already operating within the walls of the digital shipyard. Installation of a robotic welding line, a metal cleaning and painting line, a mechanized system for storing metal products, a laser-arc welding unit and other equipment continues. Vladimir Maizus, the Director of the Onego Shipyard, told Nikolay Patrushev, Alexandr Gutsan and Artur Parfenchikov about the current progress of work and demonstrated the domestic equipment that is currently being installed at the sites of the digital shipyard in Petrozavodsk. The head of the enterprise paid special attention to the portals of mechanized assembly, robotic welding, and defect diagnostics.
By the end of this year, it is planned to complete preparation of the documents for obtaining a certificate of conformity, as well as to begin trial operation of the equipment. The general contractor for the digital shipyard construction is the PPK “Voenno-Stroitelnaya Kompaniya”. Currently, the facility is completing installation of the floors in the hull workshop block, performing fire protection, installing the engineering systems, closing the contour with sandwich panels, installing the windows, distribution and transformer substations, laying external sewerage, water and gas supply networks, installing the rail tracks for ship transport bogies and concreting the retaining wall.
– The innovative solutions implemented during the digital shipyard creation will be actively used at other enterprises, so it is important to complete the project efficiently and on time. At present, the schedules for completion of construction and installation works have been developed, the number of the personnel and the equipment at the construction site has been increased. The work in the most important areas is organized in two shifts, – said Nikolai Patrushev. – This year, we need to start the second stage (modernization), which provides for construction of an automated warehouse for ship equipment, modernization of the open slipway and slipway for launching and lifting ships. For the second stage implementation, Rosmorrechflot has been allocated 2 billion rubles from the reserve fund of the federal budget of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The design and estimate documentation for the second stage of modernization was developed by the company “Soyuzproektverf” and sent to the FAU “Glavgosexpertiza Rossii” for a positive conclusion.
– Shipbuilding in the Northwestern Federal District is one of the priority areas of economic development and a basic industry. In modern conditions, domestic shipbuilding faces the task of ensuring competitiveness and technological independence of our country. Implementation of such investment projects is under special control, – noted Alexandr Gutsan. – Today, the plant is introducing a fundamentally new approach to organizing production, automation and robotics, as well as an integrated management system for the entire production process.
It should also be noted that during the working visit to the republic, a trilateral meeting was held between the Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District Alexandr Gutsan and the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov, where they discussed development of the port infrastructure and shipping in the region.
