The Onego Shipyard is completing the installation of equipment for a digital shipyard The readiness of the new production site was checked by the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov. The construction and installation works at the digital shipyard of the Onego Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant are nearing completion. The main part of the technological equipment has already been installed. The new production site was inspected by the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov. The block of workshops with an area of 26 thousand square meters will provide almost the entire technological process, from blanks and metal rolling to coloring and assembly of the vessel. Currently, installation and commissioning of a robotic complex for manufacturing of ship sections is underway here. - Such a line has been designed and manufactured in our country for the first time. It can be used in all industries where metal structures are produced. The line includes a portal and two welding robots. The portal is equipped with technical vision and holds scans of manufactured metal structures, - said Vladimir Maizus, the director of the plant. Almost all the equipment for the digital shipyard is manufactured at the Russian enterprises. For example, the plasma cutting machine has been produced in Krasnoyarsk, the hydraulic press with a force of 400 tons is from Orenburg, the crane equipment is from Obninsk and Krasnodar. Everything is installed by the manufacturers together with the specialists of the Onego Shipyard. - I have checked: out of 68 items, 61 are domestically produced. Even at the stage of construction of the plant, taking into account the sanctions, we had to replace imported equipment with our partners. Previously, it was not produced in the country. Today, we have learned to do this together, - the Head of the Republic noted. Artur Parfenchikov also discussed the personnel issues with Vladimir Maizus, today they are at the forefront. - We started preparing for the launch of the digital shipyard in advance. The students of our motor transport technical college, where we opened a new department, are already doing their internship at the plant. We are working with Petrozavodsk State University, a specialized university in St. Petersburg. Our main task is to create a center of competence and training for shipbuilding specialists in Petrozavodsk. The digital shipyard is now over 80% complete. Along with other types of work, laying of engineering networks is being completed. Construction of the first vessel, an ice-class tug, is planned to begin in January or February 2025. In addition, deep modernization of the Onego Shipyard capacities is ongoing. The second stage will begin here next year. The project is ready and is undergoing expertise.
