Volunteering Resource Center of Karelia got the right to implement the volunteer program of the international event

“The Games of Future” will be held in Kazan in 2024 and will bring together more than 2,000 world-class athletes and cybersportsmen.

In Kazan, the results of the competition to determine the centers of the volunteer program of the international project "The Games of Future" were summed up. The right to recruit and train volunteers for the Games was given to the “Volunteering Development Center of Karelia” (Volunteering Resource Center).

342 organizations took part in the competitive selection, 89 applications from 8 federal districts were admitted to the expert commission assessment. Thirty centers received the right to select and train volunteers for the event. The international project “Games of the Future” will be held in Kazan in 2024. More than 2,000 world-class athletes and cybersportsmen will take part in the competition. The event will unite 16 disciplines of classical sports and e-sports into a single sports process.

- We are happy to win! To a greater extent, because for us it is an opportunity to support the partners from Tatarstan, to work with volunteer teams from all over the country. This is a good incentive for the volunteers from Karelia to see a completely new format of a sporting event: to immerse in the new areas of volunteer vacancies, to see new developing sports, which, it seems to me, will become our reality in the near future, - said the head of the center Daria Makovetskaya.

It should be reminded that earlier the Karelian Center for Volunteering received the right to train the volunteers for the Summer Universiade and the World Championship of working professions according to the WorldSkills standards, which were held in Kazan, as well as the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi.
