The results of the regional contest “Exporter of the Year” were announced in Petrozavodsk
The award ceremony for the winners of the annual regional contest “Exporter of the Year” for small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of Karelia took place in the capital of Karelia.
The event brought together small and medium-sized business leaders, the government officials, and industry experts to honor the companies that have achieved the greatest success internationally.
This year, 57 applications were submitted for consideration by the competition committee. It shows the growing export potential and high business activity in the republic.
– Non-commodity exports support and our companies’ entry into new international markets are key priorities for the regional government. We see how diverse and competitive the Karelian businesses are, starting from high technology and tourism up to traditional logging and unique shungite. Each of the winning companies demonstrates that Karelian products and services are in demand worldwide today. This competition is more than just an awards ceremony; it is an important step in strengthening our republic export potential, – noted Anton Fokin, the Acting Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia.
The competition announced winners in seven industry and two special categories:
– “Export in the field of high technologies” – OOO “Petroexport”, OOO “Inzhenernyi Tsentr Pozharnoi Robototekhniki “EFER”, OOO “Opti-Soft”;
– “Export potential” – OOO “Truvel”, OOO “Gabbro-Komfort”, OOO “Proizvodstvennaya Kompaniya Doma Karelii”;
– “Tourism for Export” – OOO “Kareliyagid”, OOO “Nordik Travel”, OOO “Turholding Rodina Kareliya”;
– “Shungite export” – IP Khaurinen A.P., OOO “Torgovyi Dom Raritet”, OOO “Shugge”;
– “Mining Export” – OOO “Stoun Market”, OOO “Gordost Karelii”, OOO “Stoun”;
– “Timber industry export” – AO“MD”, AO “Kondopozhskoye Lesopromyshlennoye Khozyaistvo”, OOO “Forest-Travel”;
– “Food industry export” – OOO “Rybotorgovaya Set”, IP Head of the KFKh Spirkov D.N., OOO “Freshberry”;
– “Exporter of the Year of the Republic of Karelia 2024” – OOO “Forest-Travel”;
– “Wide Geography” – OOO “Petroexport”.
The event awarded the best as well as created an effective platform for establishing business contacts, sharing experiences, and forming new partnerships that will contribute to the further development of international cooperation of the Karelian companies.
