Karelia entered the TOP-10 regions based on the investment climate conditions for the first time
Today, the state of the business environment, investment climate and investment potential in the subjects of the Russian Federation for 2022 was assessed at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Karelia showed the best result in the history of the rating, having entered the top 10 regions.
The national rating assesses the efforts of authorities at all levels to create a comfortable environment for business. It includes four areas of assessment: the regulatory environment, infrastructure and resources, institutions for business and support for SMEs.
The Head of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov emphasized that the leading positions in the rating are the result of the joint work of the regional Government, enterprises, public organizations and associations, initiative citizens from among entrepreneurs.
– In 2022, the growth of private investment in the economy of the republic amounted to 176% compared to 2020, – said Artur Parfenchikov. - This means that private business trusts the region. Our common goal is to increase this indicator.
