Karelia took part in the international tourism exhibition MITT 2022
From March 15 to March 17, the annual International Tourism Exhibition MITT was held in Moscow at the IEC “Crocus Expo”. Our region was represented by a common stand under the brand name "Legendary Karelia". About 12,000 people visited it during three days.
More than 500 exhibitors from 80 different countries of the world take part in the exhibition every year. MITT-2022 was attended by about 20,000 consumers and 10,000 travel industry professionals. The exhibition is traditionally held at the junction of high tourist seasons, which makes it possible to evaluate the results of the outgoing winter period and outline the prospects for the summer one.
At the exhibition, our region was represented by a common stand under the brand "Legendary Karelia", where "Scantour-region", "Kaleva Tour", "Rodina Karelia Travel Holding", the mountain park "Ruskeala", the Museum Reserve "Kizhi" told about themselves and Karelia and presented their programs. The entertainment program of the representatives of the most cheerful village of Kindasovo was the zest of the stand.
As a rule, the Karelian stand always attracts great attention of the exhibition visitors, including professionals from the tourism and hotel business and ordinary tourists. 2022 was no exception to this rule. During three days of the exhibition, the stand of the Republic of Karelia was visited by about 12,000 people.
The delegation from Karelia took an active part in the exhibition business program. Our delegates communicated with the partners from other regions, met with the representatives of the Federal Agency for Tourism, the Russian Union of the Travel Industry and the Association “Turpomoshch”, and agreed on cooperation and intentions. In particular, one of the significant results of the exhibition was signing of an action plan for the development of cooperation between the Tourism Department of the Republic of Karelia and the federal tour operator OOO “TT-Travel” for 2022-2023, which should contribute to the development of the charter programs at preferential prices, which in turn can make holidays in Karelia more accessible for the residents of other regions and expand the flight geography for the republic residents.
