New Petrozavodsk perinatal center to open its doors
Today, the Head of Karelia Arthur Parfenchikov visited a new recently licensed perinatal center in Petrozavodsk.
The head of the region met with the center's team, identified the perspective dimensions of its work, inspected the newest medical equipment and examined the wards, operating rooms, a kitchen and utility rooms.
"We have a lot of work ahead. The main thing is that there should be as many long-awaited babies as possible", Arthur Parfenchikov said to the employees of the center. "The new center, above all, takes us to a completely new level of modern medicine and equipment for preserving the health of women and children. The center must have a good clinical school for students. Future doctors will gain new knowledge, improve their skills, practice new methods and get a chance for their self-realization in medical practice. I wish your center many new patients and a lot of successful work".
Yevgeny Tuchin, the head physician of the new Republican Perinatal Center, said when the institution will be ready to acept the first patients. The first consultations are scheduled for December 5, and since December 10 the center will start providing healthcare services to women in labor from Karelia and other regions of Russia.
